Really superb aroma and taste - a sophisticated and expert blend that really pleases and hits the spot.
Reasonably priced subscription for extremely delicious coffee and very fast delivery. Thank you!
A very enjoyable Winter evening listening to Anthony talk about butterfly conservation, photography and painting in the Glen. Very inspiring, a lovely atmosphere and cosy with the stove on. Look forward to more local talks in the roastery.
A lovely smooth, rounded brew for when you want a bit of a lift without being kept awake at night.
We really enjoyed this coffee as a regular flat white...will certainly order again! Fast delivery and great customers service, too!
This is the best espresso that we've tasted in quite some time. I love it as an oat latte, my husband loves it as an americano. Highly recommend giving it a try!!
Very tough, thick and stylish stickers that should hold up really well long term. Very high quality and great design. Used to differentiate my mug where there are loads the same.
Glen Lyon Office Coffee Subscription is a really great service. Glen Lyon have provided us with a good filter coffee maker and a grinder, so we are able to make fresh coffee from beans every day. The coffee pot is a thermos type jug, and the coffee stays fresh throughout the day.
The coffee beans supplied are excellent. We have been subscribers for a couple of months now and have pretty much stopped popping out to get flat whites as the coffee here is so good.
I would thoroughly recommend this service if you want good quality coffee. No need to make cafetière’s of weak coffee throughout the day or have a pot of filter coffee stewing on a hot plate!
We like Red Stag coffee after each meal as it works well in a flat white and an espresso. It’s a smooth but robust flavour. We have tried many other artisan roasts but have settled on this one for all our coffee requirements.
Was recommended to try Glen Lyon for their decaf. Had a couple of false starts with other artisan roasters' efforts. Wow. Very good indeed. Might have to buy a kilo next time 🤣
Thanks team, great work.
What a great evening ! Really enjoyed listening to Malcolm’s talk and viewing his jewelry . Definitely an inspiring man .
Enjoyed the coffee too , of course !
Your new Kenyan Kiandu AB is what I've long been searching for. It has the sharp, fresh taste I look for in a sea of muddy, earthy coffees from many different countries supplied by many different roasters. I'm very satisfied with it.
We absolutely love not only drinking the coffee that you carefully source; but learning about it too
We feel that by having a monthly subscription we are supporting hard working growers who would not otherwise be promoted on the wider world stage . Its 5 stars from us! Julia & John Chalmers, Fife
It is a real treat to start my day with a really tasty coffee and Glen Lyon coffee delivers! So much nicer than instant decaff.
I have treated myself to a new French Press and taken out a subscription so I get a pack every couple of weeks!
A superb coffee - perfect for when I don't want a full caffeine kick but need a bit of a pick up.
A delicious cup too!
Absolutely fantastic. My all time favourite decaf coffee. Rich flavour/aroma and a depth that other decafs can lack.
Really disappointed with this month's coffee.(washed Nicaragua) It smells promising but I find it very acidic (it will curdle almond milk instantly!) and bland. Doubt I'll want to use the rest of the beans unfortunate 🫤
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed our Sugarcane Decaf but sorry to hear the Nicaragua Ojo De Agua is not to your taste. We use a roasting software to help keep our roasting profiles consistent and regularly cup (taste) our coffees following industry standards for quality control.
Whilst there is a citrusy note and natural acidity to the Ojo De Agua an overly acidic coffee can be a sign that the brew is under extracted. Depending on the brewing method you are using there are a few things you can adjust to increase the contact time between the water and the coffee grounds to bring out more of the sweetness and flavour of the beans. One thing you can try is grinding your beans a little finer. One of our barista team would be happy to get in touch with you and chat through things you can try with specific brewing methods. Please just let me know if that would be of interest to you?
In terms of the almond milk splitting - this can be a problem with non-dairy milks, particularly when adding cold milk to black coffee. A couple of things we have found that help a bit are; using a barista specific version of the milk (if you're not already) and heating the milk before adding it to the coffee.
Of course a lot of coffee tasting and the type of coffee preferred is down to personal preference so we hope that you find something in our range that suits the taste profile you prefer. If you have any questions about our coffees then please don't hesitate to ask.
Kind regards
Fran
