Finally found the coffee that`s perfect for us. No harshness or bitterness with this. You really do get what you pay for. Can`t wait to try the others in the range.
Really love my subscription, and getting to try new coffees each time. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed most - and only abandoned one (Tanzania Ngila). Great value for the quality of the coffee and prompt delivery. Easy to amend frequency of delivery, and also possible to add in an extra bag of beans to my delivery for when we have guests staying.
Coffee first naturally, beautifully balanced and flavoursome bold and fruity- yup! with a chocolatey aftertaste - yup! the aroma is gorgeous. I went from a Mocha pot to filters/pour over method which for me, suits the coffee and my taste buds.
Secondly Glenn Lyon love the Bcorp. And local support it gives
As Red Stag fans, we fancied a change. This blend is a whole different kettle of fish (beans). lighter, very slightly citrus fruit. Keep this one available
We stayed at a lodge in the Highlands that provided these coffee beans and we fell in love with them! So much so that we purchased the exact coffee machine and these beans to go with! They’re so smooth and delicious, we’re not avid coffee drinkers and sometimes struggled with bitter coffees, this Red Stag is the perfect all rounder and has received many compliments for our family & friends when they’ve tried this. I like the subscription so easy to keep track of when i need more coffee. The product itself is delicious and always arrives in good ahape. I talk about and recomend Glen Lyon coffee when ever i can . I love the ethos, the product and how world wide involved Scottish entrpaneurs can be!
Very enjoyable coffee which has an underlying sweetish taste but retains strong flavour.
Always super fresh, and 3 really interesting blends of coffee. We regularly order the Trio Box, and are never disappointed.

Usually buy Machu Picchu coffee from Ethical Superstore Decaf and Ordinary!
Red stag was ok but preferred single country coffee sorry!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sad to hear that you weren't a fan of the Red Stag Espresso. The coffee that you mentioned is likely quite a bit darker roasted than any of our coffees would be (though you were right to go to Red Stag if you like darker roasts as that is the darkest of all our coffees).
As the coffee that you mentioned is a single origin Peruvian you may like our Peru Organic Salkantay or our True North (which is currently Peru El Conjuro) better. If you decide to try them, just keep in mind that they will likely be lighter roasted than your usual coffee. You can find all of our Peruvian coffees here:
