Anthony McCluskey is a painter and conservationist living in Glen Lyon. Both of his passions are strongly tied to the landscape here. In his work for the charity Butterfly Conservation, he travels around Highland Perthshire to find some of the rarest butterflies and moths. Along the way, he encounters some of the beautiful scenery that makes this part of Scotland special, and inspires his artworks.
This illustrated talk will take you on a tour of Glen Lyon, through Anthony's paintings. We'll also meet some of the wonderful butterflies, moths and bees that live here too, and find out more about how the trees, wildflowers and even the very rocks featured in the paintings relate to the wildlife of the Glen.
The cafe will be decorated with Anthony's paintings, and there will be a chance to buy some original works and small prints.
