How much coffee does my office need?

If your co-workers are drinking a couple of cups per day these numbers will get you started. You will need to fine tune your order from here.

Don't worry about getting it right the first time, you can pause, swap, skip, or cancel your subscription at any time.

1–10 employees | 1kg per week

Small businesses are unlikely to get through enough coffee for one of our Office Coffee Subscriptions. You can get any of our coffee blends as a recurring subscription, or try our Single Origin Subscription if you fancy a new coffee every month. Take our subscription quiz if you need help deciding!

10–20 employees | 2kg per week

For an office of about 15 people, 2kg of coffee equates to a little over 2 cups per person per day.

Brewing tip: If you're brewing filter (and pouring a generous 250mL per cup), you can expect approximately 60 cups of coffee from 1kg of beans.

Use code OFFICE5 for an extra 5% off your 2kg Office Coffee Subscription.

20–30 employees | 4kg per week

For an office of about 25 people, 4kg of coffee equates to a little over 2 cups per person per day.

Brewing tip: If you're brewing espresso (and using somewhere between a 16-19g double shot basket), you can expect approximately 50-60 cups of coffee from 1kg of beans.

Use code OFFICE10 for an extra 10% off your 4kg Office Coffee Subscription.

30–40 employees | 6kg per week

For an office of about 35 people, 6kg of coffee equates to a little over 2 cups per person per day.

Brewing tip: We almost always recommend a 1:16 ratio for most brew methods (and most coffees). Start there and then tweak your recipe to your tastes!

Use code OFFICE15 for an extra 15% off your 6kg Office Coffee Subscription.

40–50 employees | 8kg per week

For an office of about 45 people, 8kg of coffee equates to a little over 2 cups per person per day.

Brewing tip: Coffee always tastes best when it isn't heated constantly! We recommend a brewer with an insulated carafe like the MoccaMaster KBGT.

Use code OFFICE20 for an extra 20% off your 8kg Office Coffee Subscription.

50–60 employees | 10kg per week

For an office of about 55 people, 10kg of coffee equates to a little over 2 cups per person per day.

Brewing tip: Making coffee for a large office is difficult. Make it as simple as possible with our Office Coffee Brewing Bundle. It comes with everything you need to brew delicious coffee for your whole team!

Recommended recipes and brewing methods

If your office isn't already set up with a solid grinder and brewer then we highly recommend our Office Coffee Brewing Bundle. It comes with everything you need to brew consistent coffee every day without any fuss.

Filter coffee | Batch Brew

Filter (or batch) brewing is our most highly recommended method for offices. It is quick, simple, and works well when you need to brew for lots of people. We like the MoccaMaster KBGT because of its simple setup and insulated carafe that keeps coffee warm all day. You'll also need a grinder, scales, and filters which all come in our Office Coffee Brewing Bundle.

Espresso

Brewing espresso is both a science and an art. If you're lucky enough to have a decent espresso machine and grinder in the office then here is our recommended recipe. Don't forget to measure your dose and shots with a good set of scales; we like the Rhino Brewing Scale | 3kg.

Ratio
1:2 | This is for a true espresso, if you want a ristretto then aim for 1:1 and for a lungo go for 1:3

Pour over

Just need a nice smooth afternoon cup and not afraid of offending the rest of your team when they find the batch pot empty? Pour over tends to have a clarity of flavour that other brew methods lack.
