In February 2027 we are offering in partnership with small Scottish travel company Nomadic Skies the trip of a lifetime to visit coffee communities in Uganda. The two-week adventure will focus on staying with the Kalingwe community in the Rwenzori mountains that we have sourced coffee from for the past five years. The trip takes in Rwanda as well as Uganda and has been tailored to provide a deep insight into the people, cultures, landscapes and wildlife in one of the most beautiful areas of Equatorial Africa.
Tour leader and the owner of Nomadic Skies Gavin Anderson will be giving us a talk about this trip as well as his unique approach to community tourism, drawn from having lived and worked in development in Uganda for nine years. This trip is going to help support a water project in the Rwenzoi mountains that is linking up villages with a fresh water well.
This event will also be an opportunity to taste the latest harvest of Kalingwe AA coffee that has just landed at the Roastery. Look out for the big signature notes of strawberry!
The talk is free and great opportunity learn more about coffee in Uganda as well as find out more about the trip that we are running with Gavin. There are still a few places!
