Join Mountain Guide Jamie Grant on a journey to the summit of Scotland’s fabled fairy mountain of the Caledonians. The heart of mainland Scotland, Schiehallion is renowned for its folklore, botany, conical shape and extraordinary scientific history. In the 18th century the prominent Astronomer Royal Nevil Maskelyne estimated the mean destiny of the earth from the summit in an experiment that also ended with the invention of contour lines.

This walk is tailored for up to a maximum of only two people and is ideal for anyone who is new to the Scottish Munros. The date for this walk in May or June 2024 is flexible to allow for the best weather window.

Jamie is a qualified mountain leader and long-time resident of Glen Lyon. He is also the Director and co-owner of Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters.

Duration: full day
Cost: £75pp
Group: Maximum of two
Details: Meet at the Braes of Foss car park at 10am and return to your car by 5pm. A kit list will be provided for the day and clients are expected to bring their own packed lunch. This is a full day of hill walking so a moderate level of fitness is required. Further details including directions will be sent by email on booking.

French Press	A coarse grind, best for French Press or Cold Brew
Filter	A medium grind best for filter machines and pourovers.
Aeropress	Medium fine grind, best for Aeropress
Moka Pot	Fine grind, best for moka pot and some espresso machines

Due to the huge variance in brewers, we cannot offer refunds if the chosen grind doesn't work in your brewer.

We can grind for espresso on request.
