Jorge Barakat became a coffee grower by chance more than 30 years ago. Despite great challenges in his early harvests he soon reached excellent quality standards selling his coffee to Italian roasters which really motivated him to continue. Over the years Jorge has overcome the challenges of weather and water shortages and found his own way of producing what he calls ‘dense coffees’ in which the coffee trees are physically planted close together requiring specific care. Throughout three decades of experience, Jorge has been learning about quality processing and seeks increasingly special experimental lots such as this incredible one.
