ROASTER

Salary £25,000 to £26,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

We’re a dynamic team of coffee roasters based in Aberfeldy dedicated to sourcing and roasting exceptional coffee from around the world. Founded in 2011 we have gone from strength to strength, supplying cafes, restaurants and individuals across Scotland and beyond.
We are currently looking for someone who is as passionate about coffee as we are to join our busy roasting team. This role is for a highly motivated individual who is dedicated to producing an outstanding product for our valued wholesale clients. Duties include green coffee stock management, roasting, blending, packing and machine maintenance.

Ideally you should have at least two years’ experience in the coffee industry, be comfortable working with 12KG and 25KG Probat roasters and using Cropster software (all necessary training will be provided) and be physically fit. Sensory and barista skills are also appreciated but friendliness, good humour and a willingness to work (and play) hard as part of a small team are essential.

You will be welcomed into our close-knit international team working in our bright and airy roastery in the heart of the Highland town of Aberfeldy, an area well known for its outdoors and adventure lifestyle where we provide a relaxed and supportive work environment for all our staff. As part of our commitment to carbon neutrality you would be expected to join us on our annual day of tree planting in the Highlands. This job is initially 4 days a week (but could be full-time if desired) and is a salaried position with a 12-month contract (renewed annually) with full holiday and pension benefits.
We very much welcome applications from all backgrounds regardless of age, sexuality, gender, religion or ethnicity.

Please send us your CV and a covering letter to jobs@glenlyoncoffee.co.uk by 30th June 2021. Start date approx early August 2021.
